Workers Compensation

The QCU is committed to ensuring the workers' compensation scheme in Queensland provides fair and appropriate benefits for injured workers. 

The QCU undertakes a number of activities to ensure that workers’ compensation legislation in Queensland is kept up to date and reflects modern workplace practices.  This objective is achieved through the activities of the QCU Workers’ Compensation Committee and by active participation in Government working groups and committees, and political lobbying at both a State and Federal Level.

The QCU also provides a Workers’ Compensation Information Service.  This service assists Queensland workers to understand their rights and entitlements under the workers’ compensation scheme in Queensland.
