Our Structure

The Queensland Council of Unions (QCU) is the peak union body in Queensland with 35 affiliated unions covering around 350 000 Queensland workers. The QCU is the state branch of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU).

The QCU Executive is made up of elected officers and meets once a month. You must be logged into the QCU website to access Executive documents. You can login here with your existing QCU details.

The QCU has staff with skills in the areas of industrial relations and related legislation, training, organising and campaigning, and administration.

The QCU is an evolving organisation. It meets the demands and needs of its affiliate members and it represents the interests of workers. To recognise its evolution, and to ensure it continues to grow, it is important to be aware of its history.

The 13 Provincial Councils are a fantastic resource for the QCU and are operated by already busy organisers and delegates and members who go beyond the call of duty.
