Roles and Functions

The Queensland Council of Unions (QCU) is the peak union body in Queensland with 35 affiliated unions covering around 350 000 Queensland workers. The QCU is the state branch of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU).

QCU Executive

The QCU Executive is made up of elected officers and meets once a month. You must be logged into the QCU website to access Executive documents. You can login here with your existing QCU details.

Provincial Councils

The 13 Provincial Councils are a fantastic resource for the QCU and are operated by already busy organisers and delegates and members who go beyond the call of duty.

The Campaigner

The Union movement has led many campaigns for better lives and a fair go in Australia for over a hundred years. However campaigns have changed and so have the techniques deployed by campaigners.
