The QCU has a number of affiliated union organisations across Queensland. These affiliates are separate and independent entities, both of the QCU and in respect of each other. A list of our affiliates is available here.

Any personal information that you provide to the QCU on this website may be released by the QCU to the appropriate union affiliate, unless you indicate that you are not a union member. You should be aware that each of these affiliates is required to observe the National Privacy Principles in respect of your personal information.

If you indicate that you are not a union member, you will be asked whether or not you consent to the QCU releasing your personal information to the appropriate affiliate. In these circumstances, the QCU undertakes not to release your personal information to any affiliate without your prior consent.

Release of your personal information to third parties

The QCU will not release your personal information to any third parties (apart from to our affiliates in the circumstances described above), unless where required to by law.

Under no circumstances will the QCU sell or receive consideration for disclosing your personal information to any third party (including to our affiliates in the circumstances described above).

Information collected in online surveys, questionnaires and petitions

Your participation in any online survey, questionnaire or petition is voluntary.

The QCU is the legal owner of any statistical information or data generated in the course of any petition on this website and retains the exclusive right to use and publish this information or data.

Where you give an answer or make a statement or comment in an online survey or questionnaire on this website, the QCU reserves the right to publish that answer or comment (or any part of it). Any such publication will be on a anonymous basis, unless the QCU obtains your prior consent.
