MAY DAY BOWLS CARNIVAL

REGIONAL ACTIVITIES

Barcaldine

The Tree of Knowledge Festival will be held from Thursday 29 April to Monday 4 May. Activities and fun galore!! The May Day march will be held on Monday 4 May commencing at 10:00am in Willow St and making its way to the Showgrounds. Goto www.treeofknowledge.com.au/program.htm

Bowen

A march will be held on Monday 4 May with assembly at the Post Office, Powell St frontage at 9:15am. The march will proceed to the QRI Hall in George St for a family fun day with kids activities, tug-o-war, jumping castle, egg and spoon race and a dressed bike competition. There'll be a sausage sizzle and licensed bar operating. Guest speaker - Michael Brunker (Whitsunday Regional Council mayor). You can also meet Rachel and Greg from GEM FM. Bundaberg

A march will be held on Saturday 2 May with assembly at the top end of Quay Street at Riverside Parklands at 10:30am. The march will proceed to the Bundaberg Bowls Club for a Labour Day barbeque for delegates, officials and families from 11:00am. Cairns

A march will be held on Monday 4 May from Munro Martin Park with assembly at 10:00am for a 10:15am start. A family fun day at the park will then be held with face painting, kids rides, animal zoo, speeches and a tug-o-war. Please contact Stuart Traill on 0430 072049 for further information.

Emu Park

A family picnic/fun day will be held on Sunday 3 May from 11:00am at Bell  Park. Activities will include food & drink stalls, sports, raffles, speeches and live entertainment. Please contact Bruce Craig 0400 845 974 for further details.

Gladstone

A march will be held on Monday 4 May from 10:00am with assembly in the Council Chambers car park behind Goondoon St. This will be followed by a family BBQ/picnic day with food, drinks, kids races and entertainment at the Gladstone Marina, Brian Hanson Dve. Gold Coast

A march will be held on Sunday 3 May with assembly at Pratten Park, Old Burleigh Rd, Broadbeach from 8:30am (for a 9:00am start). Ipswich

A march will be held on Saturday 2 May commencing at 2:30pm (for a 3:30pm start) with assembly at Ellenborough St (between Darling St and Roseberry Pde). The march will proceed to Timothy Maloney Park, Elizabeth St, Ipswich followed by a family fun day with BBQ, drinks, kids activities and rides.

Mackay

A march will be held on Monday 4 May and will commence at 9:30am, assemble at River Street. The march will proceed to Queens  Park where there will be speeches, live music, food & drink stalls, rides, children’s races and ice-creams & softdrinks for the kids. Rockhampton

A march will be held on Monday 4 May commencing at 9:00am from Riverside Carpark (Archer St) along Victoria Parade to childrens playground in Victoria Park on Sir Raymond Huish Drive. A family fun ay will be held in the park with a sausage sizzle, arts and craft stalls, family sports events and entertainment. A march will be held on Saturday 2 May commencing at 10:00am with assembly behind the Toowoomba City Council Building, cnr Herries and Victoria Sts.
